Water Usage by Humans And Animals

Every human and living thing in the world needs water to live, survive  and keep healthy. All humans need water to drink, take showers, wash dishes, do gardening and other reasons.

Living things also have the need forwater. Water also helps keep plants and animals cool. Some living things have up to 90% of their body weight as water. About 60% of the human body is water. Around 83% of our blood is water which holds food, wastes from germs, and heat around our body.

Each day humans lose about 2.4 litres of water through body waste. The vanished water must be replaced through drinking.

All animals need water  to survive. Water can be a habitat for animals like fish. Some fish need salt water and others need fresh water. Many kinds of fish such as clams and trout get oxygen from water. Some animals drink water often to keep hydrated, digest food and build body fluids.

Water is important to every life form because without water we will die.

Our A Grade Awards

We were overwhelmed that our names were announced by Mrs Golder.
We worked really hard to achieve at least five or more A grades in our homework. We shook our teachers hand proudly and the audience applauded us. We were pleased that we were awarded with A grade certificates. Our parents are very glad that we worked hard in Term One.

Our next goal is to get A grades for the rest of the year and to succeed so that we can have a better education. Every week we get Year 8 homework and usually we get A or better. Only six students were awarded with A Grade Certificates who were
Sini,  Elizabeth, Ofa Miria, Cypress and Damien

Be better Than Before!

The Dreadful Battle

The Dreadful Battle

25 March 1915

Dear Aunty Lyla

First of all soldiers and I were sailing through the rough seas. When we headed closer we heard gun shots. I felt very nervous and scared hearing rifles, machine guns and pistols shooting.

Soon after we climbed the huge hill then we soldiers heard screaming. My battalion dug trenches 6x5 feet at night so the we could sleep and hide. I stayed up on look out and saw someone’s arm ripped off by a huge tank. In the middle of the night we woke up and found some weapons missing. I thought to myself  - it was the Turkish Soldiers.

Lastly everyone felt scared and frightened of dying but we still did our mission. Some soldiers died and some didn’t.

I miss my home and family.
Love
Your Cypress.

Anna and her sister Lexus are visiting sick children in hospital as Elsa and Ana. Anna's fame has grown quickly and she has already been offered modelling jobs and acting roles on US shows.

I think Anna and Lexus are cool sisters visiting sick children in hospital. I think Anna should take the modelling job because she will be a good actor on US shows.
