Netball Game

On Saturday afternoon I was told my mum won her netball game. I wasn’t there because I was playing with my friends. My mum’s team scored 36 and the other team scored 17. While they were playing someone fell over but she was not hurt too bad. In the last half there were no more accidents.

Fire passing

On Thursday Room 11 had their first netball lesson with the coach Fiona. We played passing games. First we had to warm up by jogging to the fence and back. While we were jogging we had to do butt kicks, skipping, side stepping and cross over.

We learnt different types of passes too. They were the fire pass, chest pass and the over head pass. After that we got into 3 groups and 1 team mate had to hold the hoop and 1 other person had to be behind them. After that game there were 3 more games.

The last game we played was lots of fun. It was just like netball. You had to pass the ball 4 times to the hoop and then pass it through.

No More Hacking

I can’t wait till I get my password for my school Google account so there can be NO more hacking and no more problems. When I get my password I'm not going to tell anyone - not even my friends and family. We need a password so no one can get into people's account and start trashing their work. When I get my password I'm going to be happy. Hopefully everybody will also be happy getting their own password.

The Horn Went Off

On Saturday my sister and I watched my aunties and mum’s netball game. It was at the AMI netball stadium. When we got there we had to wait for the rest of the team. They arrived just as the game was supposed to start.

I quickly looked at the scoreboard to see what the time and score was. Then the horn went off. When the game finished my mum’s team lost.

Rough Seas

June 6 1944
  • D Day happened during World War 2 and was the Allied invasion of Normandy. The invasion's code name was Operation Overlord. The D stands for Day. Many Americans who have arrived in Normandy in France this week is commemorating the 70th anniversary for D-Day. However many other invasions and operations had designated D-Day both before and after that operation. D-day was actually chosen for the date of June 5th but was postponed till the next day which is June 6th because of rough seas.

Defending The Ball

Yesterday  at the AMI netball courts we played 5 schools at the interschool netball competition. They were Point England, Glen Innes, Tamaki Primary, St Pius, and Glenbrae. It was fun playing all those schools. I really enjoyed it because I was defending the ball when someone was passing it and I intercepted them then threw it to my partner. I liked being GK and GD because I’m good at defending . We won 3 games out of 5 and came 4th out of 16 teams. I think that I played very well.

Safety Rules

At tech with Mr Grundy we watched him melt some pewter to make jewellery. He explained and showed us all the steps. Hopefully next Wednesday we get to make our own necklace. But if not someone from room 11 can do it for me.

When we make it I think it will be hard cutting out our shape for our necklaces. I would like to make a necklace. He told us some safety rules when he is melting the metal and when he is using the cutting machine.

First we need to choose a photo that will be easy to cut out. Later on when we made it we will think of a person to give our necklace to. I think I’m gonna give it to myself because I deserve it.
